This is a group program for skaters with CanSkate Badge 2 or higher that are interested in learning Figure Skating Skills. Skaters are encouraged to register for both CanSkate AND the Introduction to Figure Skating to progress more quickly. Helmets: It is mandatory that all skaters up to and including Badge 5 registered in a CanSkate program must wear a CSA (Canadian Standards Association) approved HOCKEY helmet. Hockey helmets and face protectors sold in Canada must meet safety standards set by the Canadian Standards Association. Please look for the CSA logo on all hockey helmets prior to purchasing. Bicycle, ski helmet or multi‐purpose sport helmets are NOT permitted as they do not provide the proper protection against falls on ice. Face masks are not mandatory; however young skaters may benefit from the added protection. Any skater without the proper helmet will be refused access to the ice.
Il s’agit d’un programme de groupe destiné aux patineurs détenteurs du Badge 2 de Patinage Plus ou plus qui sont intéressés à apprendre des techniques de patinage artistique.Les patineurs sont encouragés à s’inscrire au programme PatinagePlus ET à l’Introduction au Patinage Artistique pour progresser plus rapidement. Les casques : Le port d’un casque protecteur est obligatoire pour tous les patineurs qui n’ont pas atteint le niveau 5 de Patinage Plus et il doit être homologué CSA. Tout autre casque est interdit car la protection est inadéquate. LES CASQUES DE VÉLO OU DE SKI NE SONT PAS AUTORISÉS. L’accès à la patinoire sera refusé à tout patineur qui ne porte pas un casque réglementaire.
