Club Coaches:
Hi, I'm Alexey and I've been coaching full-time for 28 years. I graduated from the Russian State University of physical education and sport as a figure skating coach. Also, I have a masters' degree in sports psychology from the same University. During my career as a coach, I've attended 18 international competitions including the 1999 World figure skating championship and many national and provincial competitions.
I coach all levels of skaters from beginners to seniors and I try to teach them all to have a love and joy for skating
Hi my name is Alex Mailloux and I am a regional coach in training. I was a junior level figure skater and I enjoy teaching.
Hi I’m Tamara. I’ve been coaching since 2016. I have 13 years of experience as a skater in both singles and pairs at the Provincial and National level. With a Bachelor’s of Education in hand, I absolutely love working with skaters of all ages and levels. Teaching is really what I love doing.

Coaches
Coaches are independent Skate Canada (SC) registered professionals. Clubs generally contract coaches on a season to season basis to teach group programs. With Club programs, the cost of lessons and ice is generally all included. When not in Club programs, coaches teach private lessons on Club ice. For private lessons, skaters buy a slot of ice for the season from the Club and then deal directly with the coach of their choice regarding available lesson time fee's. Information links:
A bit about PA's…
What is a Program Assistant (PA)? PA's are older competent skaters (can be figure skaters, hockey, ringette or power skaters) who basically assist the Skate Canada coaches with the Club's learn to skate programs. All PA's must have attended a Club PA training workshop and be registered members of Skate Canada. PA's help on a voluntary basis and can use the hours helping with the programs for high school community service hours. If you are interested in PA-ing, please contact the Club for more information. |
