Test Skaters/Competitive Skaters/de PatinageStar/et de Compétition Each year,at the end of the season, skaters are presented with Club awards. Most of those awards are based on the results accumulated from competitions and tests passed during the course of the year. This is calculated on a points system: those skaters who rank in the top four of their category are assigned points based on their results. Points are also awarded to skaters for tests passed (Completed level only receives points). The skaters with the most points overall, are presented with the Club Award of their category (Junior, Intermediate, Senior, Competitive and Dance). Important: Results are given out at the end of each competition/test in a paper format and it is the responsibility of the parent/skater to ensure that they are collected. After which, a copy of the results (file the originals away safely), should be addressed to the 'Points Executive' and posted in to the drop box at Kirkland Arena on left side of wall as you enter rink area. Alternatively, you may scan (or take a photo) and email directly to Test Chair, Frederique Hughes, at above email address. Homeclub skaters are required to be registered on at least one ice session (at either rink) at Lakeshore SC in order to be considered for Club Awards. **Club Test fees: $12 per test. An additional Hospitality fee for all non-homeclub members is required: $10. For non-homeclub members, please note children will not be allowed to test without Homeclub permission letters.** Names in 2 weeks before - pull-outs 1 week before test day. Please note: Lakeshore SC will not issue permission to test Canadian tests in the USA without proof of a Skate Canada sanction number. Coaches, please ensure that any tests to be taken outside of Region are appropriately sanctioned and permission gained from Regional Test Chairman, Sue Barnard. |

This means Preliminary and Junior Bronze tests will be carried out on regular ice with coaches directly and at their discretion. Only students testing Senior Bronze and up will test at specified testing sessions with Judges. Skate Canada testing Fee's will still be applicable for all tests. Hospitality fees for non home club testers are also still applicable. Your coach will be able to provide you with more detailed information on your particular testing route. |
